Del Popolo, San Francisco, California
This former mobile pizzeria was formed in 2012, serving Neapolitan style pizzas from a glass shipping container on a Freightliner truck. Today, in their Bush Street, San Francisco restaurant, they serve naturally-leavened, wood-fired pizza, delicious antipasti, wine and beers. Menus include house made olive oil focaccia, soft dough arrabbiata pizza with a blistered crust and chocolate mousse cake Florentine. If you don’t want to dine in, you can take away or order packs of their frozen pizza pies. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive.
Dough Pizzeria Napoletana, San Antonio, Texas
This pizzeria located in San Antonio and Plano Texas make their pizzas with local farm-fresh ingredients, using authentic Neapolitan style techniques. Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, Phoenix, Arizona
Lou Malnati’s is the oldest family name to specialise in Chicago deep dish pizza. Lou Malnati started working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria in the 1940s and in 1971, he and his wife Jean opened their first restaurant. Their deep dish pie is legendary and now they have carry-out and eat in diners in several states from Illinois to Arizona, Wisconsin and Indiana. Pequod's Pizza, Chicago, Illinois
Pequod’s Pizza first opened in 1970 in Morton Grove, Illinois and immediately amassed a loyal following for its pan style pizza with caramelised crust edge.
