Best Pizza In Manchester

August 20, 2022

If you were on the lookout for great pizza in Manchester 10 years ago, the choices weren't that great, Pizza Express was probably the most visited pizza place in the city (not that there's anything wrong with Pizza Express of course), but variety really was lacking. Over the past few years, a whole host of new pizza restaurants have opened, and the amount of choice has exploded. We've looked through all the new kids on the block, as well as some well-established favourites (hello Croma) to try and find the best pizzas in Manchester. Below is our guide to Manchester's favourite pizza for 2022.

Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza, Cotton Street

Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza, Cotton Street

Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza began life on Cutting Room square in Ancoats in 2015, when that part of town was just beginning to grow, and very quickly became a firm local favourite. They've won numerous awards (3rd best pizza and 10th best in the world no less) and they've very quickly expanded to more sites in Manchester, Sale, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham (and possibly a few more by the time I finish this article). They now enjoy an almost cult-like following among regulars. If someone in Manchester tells you Rudy's is the best pizza in town, don't argue... you won't win. The flour comes from Naples, the tomatoes are San Marzano and at Rudy's it's all about the dough. Slow proofed to produce springy chewy, easy-to-digest deliciousness.

Crazy Pedro's, Bridge Street

Everything is ordered at the bar (no table service). The motto at Crazy Pedro's is 'We like to party all the time', so expect music, crowds and some unique pizzas. The 'chippy tea' features sausage, chips, peas and curry sauce, or opt for the hot dog or fried chicken pizzas (there's also a few 'normal' pizza options for traditionalists). The party carries on until 4am, with pizzas served up all night long.

Double Zero, Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton
