Primal Steakhouse, at the Boulevard Mall serves up some of the best steaks on town. Overseen by executive chef Angel Lopez, you can expect dishes heavily influenced by his central American roots. This is a fine dining restaurant. They have an extensive cocktail menu and wine list to accompany their great choice of steaks. The main event on the menu is the 31-ounce Tomahawk steak. You can also opt for a choice of starters and sides, including Guatemalan ‘Chorilonga’ sausage, Jamon Iberico and seared scallops.

If you’ve not been to a Blaze Pizza yet, you simply choose your ow toppings, before the pizza is assembled in front of you before being fired at 700F for 3 minutes to produce the perfect pizza. Great for a quick lunch stop.

The name supposed to reflet the sound the dish makes while cooking in the pot. Shabu-shabu is served with a variety of sauces. You can order 2 meats at one time at Broth Shabu. Customers rave about the Spicy Tonkatsu, Karaage and Takoyaki. Be sure to leave room for the sesame ice cream!

Cupbob is ‘Korean BBQ in a cup’. Starting life in 2013 as a food truck, Cupbop now have over 20 restaurants and six food trucks. (expect those numbers to be out of date by the time this article is published as they are growing FAST!) Their newest restaurant is in the University Gardens Retail Centre and is already a hit with the locals. You can choose how hot you want each dish and pair it with a choice of imported Korean drinks.

Expect great Creole favourites at this Louisiana style restaurant when this restaurant opens in 2020. Chef Derland Blake cooks up some of the best BBQ ribs in Vegas, as well as stuffed French toast, lobster and waffles and fried crab. You’ll find DB’s on the corner of Craig Road & Rancho Drive. They also offer outside catering.

The name Feng cha means ‘serve tea with respect’. They specialise in fruit fusions, caffeine free drinks, and the no lactose ‘breeze’. Try their customer favourite, matcha with cheese foam. They also excel at their deserts. Choose from Oreo Cheese, Seal Salt pearl Taro Chocolate to name but a few.

Hailing from San Diego, Greek Chicken has now opened at the Rainbow Commons Retail Centre. Greek Chicken was launched in 1987 serving up chicken Pitta, Gyros and Greek salads. Customers love the Honey Baklava, and the homemade hummus gets rave reviews.

Jo's Malasadas offers a mix of Hawaiian, Filipino and Portuguese cuisine. Located at the Phoenix Plaza Retail Centre, they specialise in Portuguese fried dough balls, Hawaiian coco puffs, and a huge range of cakes, served by the slice. While sweet is their speciality, their savoury choices also measure up well with great breakfast choices including omelettes, eggs, and sausage, or later in the day try their range of soups, salads and sandwiches.

The Chicken Mascot on the wall fits the ambience of this friendly eatery perfectly. You can expect the usual fried chicken staples, perfectly cooked. If you are feeling brave, opt for their hot ‘Spencer’s Revenge’ sauce as an accompaniment. Be warned though, this is only for the brave!

Paul Saginaw is the co-founder of Zingermans deli, considered to be one of the best deli’s in the world, so expect big things from this Vegas newcomer. The Reuben has to be top of the list but don’t overlook the matzo ball soup and prime rib. If you’re in at breakfast time you’re in for a treat. For meat-eaters, try the ‘Jabra’s Double Down’, a 6oz steak from Creekstones farms served with two eggs, has browns and toast, or for a veg based breakfast, go for ‘Lorraine’s Pay Off’ a vegetable hash served with poached eggs and toast.

Hailing from New Jersey, Chef Bruce Kalman already has a number of ventures under his belt, including ‘Backbeat BBQ’, a collaboration with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. SoulBelly has been hosting popups to preview their mouth-watering dishes through 2020 before the main restaurant opens, and from the reviews, this is one to look forward to! Expect the selection to include succulent briskets, ribs, wings, and smoked turkey. Find them on the corner of Main & Imperial.
